Which way to go!
So after much back and forth thinking between picking up the 2014 F150 supercrew 5.5 on my dealers lot right now or ordering the same truck but with the 3.73 gears and 6.5 ft box I finally decided on ordering the truck last week. I don't need those extra things just thought they'd prove them selves useful some day. What helped make this decision easier was when the dealer told me he had already ordered the truck I wanted on July 17th and would just stock his lot with it if I didn't want it! I was told it would be here by Sept. 11th at the latest. I sold my King Ranch outright a month ago in anticipation of buying a new one and have been borrowing a beater from my parents in the mean time. I called the dealer today and got a build date of Sept. 22 and delivery of the 29th. I really don't want to wait that long for a truck. I was told I can take advantage of any incentives that may transpire in the meantime. Is there any reason to believe that incentives will increase significantly between now and my scheduled delivery? I could wait a few days after delivery depending on timing to get a look at early Oct. rebates as well. I have a hard time believing that Ford is going to up the rebates trying to clear out the 2014s when they are still building them at the factory. Thoughts?
I think again...it depends on how much inventory the dealer has.....in my case the dealer had a couple "Factory Spec Ordered Vehicles"..for promotional purposes. ...to create interest and bring in buyers....so they were really discounted ....like 10 - 10 grand off....then rebates etc...
It was a smoking deal , I couldn't pass up . A 2014 Screw Boost XLR 4X4 OFF ROAD PACK....etc..
I really wanted a white FX4....but, the deal was sweet...and I couldn't touch the FX4 for what I paid for my XLT. The F150 is a beast of a truck!
