Default Wax on black plastic

thought I'd come here and ask the experts. I polished and waxed my jet ski last fall and now it has white residue on some of the black plastic trim pieces, so what is the best way to remove it and not just hide it???

Depends on what kind of wax and if the plastic is smooth or textured. Peanut butter actually works well, wd-40 will stain some plastics so I'd be careful with that.

If the plastic is smooth you could use a clay bar and dish soap.

Chemical Guys FRP does a great job of protecting it once you get the white off. It is water based so it dries to the touch and no runs.

I've switched to Turtle Wax ICE and no more problems with residue on black plastic. Easiest on and off wax I've used and I have a shelf full of them.
