Default Water in Doors

Has anyone else noticed a buildup of water inside their doors? I washed my truck yesterday by hand and then waxed it this morning. When I opened the drivers side rear door I heard something sloshing. Turns out there was at least 16 ounces of water inside that door. It was only that door though. The other 3 were dry. I popped the little plug out and drained as much out as I could. Gonna keep an eye on it and see if more water gets in there again. Curious though if anyone else has gotten water in their doors?

After I wash my truck, there's a little bit of water in around the door and on the pillars, which is why I always wipe down those areas with ArmorAll wipes right after I wash the truck. Over time if you don't do that, not only will dirt/pollen/etc build up but that and the water will eventually impair the ability of the door to seal correctly. But I've never had 16 oz of water build up there, especially on only one side. I would definitely get that checked out if it happens again.

try not spraying water directly at the windows near the tracks and bottom...

it doesn't really matter how "new" the seals are, if you spray it directly with enough pressure, they're going to let a little water by

the droplets in the door gaps that are visable after washing are normal; the rubber door seal itself is further in, so you're going to see water get in the gap after washing the truck, or even after driving in rain; there's no way around that

All this water wasn't in the door gaps and pillar area. It was actually INSIDE the door itself. I've used the powerwasher before many times in the past year and never noticed any water inside the door. Although many times I just use the garden hose too. This time I used the garden hose but I can't say for sure if it all came from this time washing it or not but I just happened to notice it after washing it.

I gathered that much; that's why I mentioned to ease up a little when spraying on or around the windows

if you're washing with a power washer, you should NEVER spray the windows anyway; those things WILL DESTROY SEALS!!! And you can quote me on that! Wipe the windows down seperately after washing the body of the truck, if that's the method you're using...

ya I had a friend that used to spray directly on the lip of the seal at the bottom edge of the windows and he ended up wrecking the power windows from too much water getting in there and the bottom factory folded edge of the door started rusting. but this was on an older truck though.
