Warning to all - takes seconds to pop our door locks!!
I'm on a trip right now and was heading home from miami area towards Jax. I stopped at a publix along the way thinking it was safe in a nice area to go to the bathroom. Was in there like 5 mins MAX. Came back out to my truck, used the factory fob to get in, got back on I95 heading north. 30 mins later I get a call from the bank saying to verify charges. When I heard gas station twice today at the exit I just left I freaked!!
Long story short, they popped my door lock in and opened the door and stole my laptop bag only. Didn't go thru anything else and they used gloves. The bag had all paperwork including bank card for a special acct dealing with a legal matter. Turns out they stole the card and tried getting gas twice in 3 mins of me parking!!
So, anyone know how much it is to replace a door lock??
Excuse the dirt please.

That makes me nervous. My registration with my address and garage opener is in my truck, and we leave the door to the garage unlocked. I'd be furious if that happened to me.
Was there a PC in your bag?

sorry to hear that. unfortunately this has been a common way to break in for many years now, I'm sure Ford sees these types of internet postings but I don't know why they won't revise the door handle design to prevent this?

Inebriated 4 ur safety
The key pad has been proven to work even with the battery not having enough juice to start the truck in my old truck. The battery will have to be completely drained which is a very rare to the point it is not worth mentioning for the key pad or key fob not to work. I never used the key to open the door in my old truck in all the 6 years I had it so I'm not worried. If I can't get in my truck then I will just break the glass and replace it. I would rather take the very rare chance of me not being able to get into my truck then for someone to keep popping my lock to steal stuff in my truck like they did 3 times to my father-in-law.
