I just put this in my 2011 super cab. Installed with a line in converter to factory deck. Sounds really good and way better than I expected. Fits under are seats and still leaves room for storage cause the amp is built into the box. Got it from Walmart for like 160$

Are there any subs that will fit somewhere other than under the back seat? I work out of my truck and need that floor space quite a bit. I'd love to get that kicker upgrade, but can't justify losing that space back there.

I've heard of someone putting a sub in the centre console storage, but I'm sure that's valuable space to you as well

Has anyone did the speaker level inputs? Hooking up the amp from the door speakers using rca plug ins by splicing into the door speakers?

All of the ones that I know off will take at least half the space under the seat. On the 2015s there is room behind the seats to stash a small one, but no such luck on our trucks.

If you get the Kicker, you might be able to install wing nuts instead of bolts and make it removable. Not sure how practical that might be.

I have a 2011 SC and built my own enclosure which fits under the smaller rear seat on the pass side. I used the NVX MVPA-1
http://www.nvx.com/mvpa1-monoblock-c...fier-300w-rms/
which fits in the center of the instrument panel under the radio. Easier to run wiring from the battery to there and you can access the radio's high level inputs and run them right into the amp. No need for a convertor.
The sub is a JL Audio 10TW3-D4
http://www.jlaudio.com/10tw3-d4-car-...-drivers-92184
It is not cheap but requires only a 0.55 cu ft enclosure.
The leads from the amp tp the woofer run under the pass kick plate. Pretty easy.

Sound ordinance from Crutfield is a powered sub that will fit behind setback. I had one and it's an 8" 150 watt powered sub.

It's not good for rap but it filled in the lows nicely.

I now have a powered bazooka tube that kicks butt but it's under the seat.

Digital Designs is the brand, and it is a 6.5in sub woofer. Truly an amazing sound from such a tiny space. I have one in my truck in a 6th order bandpass box and it is way more than I need. The preloaded 6.5in is plenty for a super cab.
