Wanting to find the Best Replacement headlights -Ford Truck .. Halogen or HID or LED?

Philips wouldn't make LED bulbs for halogen housings if this was true. The OP was looking for the best option and LED is not it, though. A proper HID retro is the way to go for the best lighting currently. LED projector technology is still the future even though it may never put out the same amount of light as HID.

i used 2 diffrent sets of LED headlights in my OEM housings. first set didnt allow me to adjust the angle, so swaped them out to a set that i could rotate. i had them in for a year and had no issues or anyone highbeaming me as they are to bright.
i finaly found a set of retrofits to my liking someone else had done and then i swapped them to that.
IMO if you wanna do LED for the time being till you can get a set list of parts you want to build or have a set built then go for it.
but i would do the factory HID's or retrofits HID.

Projection lighting
My opinion is projection lighting suck for taller vehicles. One of the many reasons I am getting rid of my current vehicle. When you are going downhill they point too low and even with auxiliary lighting its not very good. I paid to have them aimed correctly which they were not from the factory but didn't change anything. Tried Led and no better. I'm not spending $800-1500 for lighting. I learned one thing, test drive the vehicle at night also before you buy it.
I love the analogy of why the sky is blue, because it scatters the light, all this time I thought because that is how our Creator made it. Of course, God new this and I believe your analogy is correct! Thanks!

Do yourself a favor, simply replace what is already there on your truck from the factory. If your truck came with halogens, buy new OEM halogen housings and a set of OEM or equivalent bulbs. Most aftermarket lighting options and components suck compared to OEM.
It's the cheapest, lowest maintenance, and will work the best with your truck without having to do any electrical work. I'm speaking from experience here...

I went from OEM Halogens in my 2012 to OEM HID's in my 2013. A world of difference!! HID's are the way to go. In fact, I will be upgrading mine with a custom set from Raptor Retrofit this spring. If your not doing it yourself and you have e some coin to spend, then this might be a good place to get what you want!

Spyder Headlights
I have a set of Spyder Headlights for sale if you want.
I was going to use them in my Lariat, I have the projectors now, but without the Halo.

Your opinion is flawed, I have a 4" lift kit on my truck with oem hid's I had to adjust them down as such but can assure you they are many times better than the craptastic halogen lights it came with and do NOT blind oncoming traffic.
