Very Upset
I notice last week end my 2013 F150 not a year old had the paint peeling on the bottom of the box at the rear on the inside. Talk to service manager and he took several picture at told me that he would contact Ford Warranty. I received a call the next day saying that he needed to do a tape test, now I understand what the tape test is as I'm a Quality Representative for the Federal Government currently doing QA on military aircraft. He conducted the tape test and the paint peeled right off when the tape was removed. At this point it seemed pretty straight forward paint defect. Well I received a call today no luck Ford refused the warranty complaint. Unbelievable this will be a huge issue after one of our East cost winters and road salt. Now I 'm stuck repainting a one year old truck at my cost, way to stand behind your product FORD.

Move away from the east coast, I got tired of calcium chloride and magnesium chloride eating away at my new vehicles,....not the real reason I left the east coast snow belt......but def one of the perks
I will have to do something. Ford's excuse was that iy was overspray and they don't paint that part of the truck, I told the service manager that both sides of my truck were painted and that the 5 new trucks at their lots were all painted. I am at a lost as to why they are being so difficult and will have to take care of it or the rust will surely start.

Any way there is a better picture? I actually paint many warranty jobs. I'm a painter at a Ford dealer body shop. And we seem to get everything approved. Even things that shouldn't be. Where exactly is the the area in question? You say rear of the box on the inside?
