Default Valvetrain Crack

I was changing my oil today. When I took the oil cap off and looked inside, I saw this metal piece has a crack. This view is looking in from the oil fill. Anyone have any idea what piece that is? 2014 5.0 stock 56k. Thanks in advance.

Looks like it is on the front of the camshaft adjustment unit. Looks more like a casting mark. Hard to tell in the photo but based on what I can see I wouldn't worry about it.

X3, looks like they didn't machine that part and it isn't a necessity to be ground.

The same mark is present on a customer's 2013 5.0 for what it's worth.
