Time will tell how the drive holds up in the truck, for $70 for a 320GB drive is way cheaper than what a 30GB IPOD would cost, plus I don't have to hassle with ITUNES to load the drive up, just copy and go.
DITTO! Specially, not having to deal with crapTUNES

Where did anyone get their cable? I have the link to buy the cable on eBay, but I'm leaving out of town soon and would like to get the cable today. Does Fry's Electronics carry the cable? I tried calling them and asking and it was a waiting/on hold nightmare.

Is eBay the only way to acquire that cable? Thanks.

Ah, RadioShack! I hadn't thought of that. I'll give them a try. Thanks RES4CUE.

I actually made my own cable out of 2 that I had laying around.

Pretty simple, 4 wires, splice them together and go.

I couldn't find any adapters locally, even Radio Shack didn't have them, plus the big supply houses were closed for the holiday weekend.

An even better deal!

As someone who spent more than a decade as a vendor to WM I don't really frequent the stores unless I have to......

Microcenter.
Got a three foot cable and the correct adapter so I don't have a snarl of cable up under the dash.
