Okay so I see all these tablet installs, and am really starting to get jealous. The factory nav in my 2012 fx4 plain sucks. It has a few cool features but I am very close to sacrificing them for a better functioning unit. Not to mention the fact that the sync lady has a harder time understanding me than my hearing impaired father. I just don't think it's worth it anymore, and would love to have a tablet install instead.

Has anyone installed a tablet or upgraded the factory nav yet?

 

Its pretty sofisticated on the 12 and newer as the have the new dashunit or did they get that in 2013?. So if you go for a tablet youd have to get a custom center console made which is $$$$. I dont think they make kits for the new trucks yet. Take a pic of your console
