I bought the 2 axle set from Stop Tech and used the Posi-quiet pads that came with them.

Those fake caliper covers look tacky.

Got a link to real caliper covers? All I could find were fake ones.

Looks good. I have 135k on my original pads and rotors... might give these a try in a few months

Those are the exact rotors I used. They are smooth as butter. I put the "sport" pads on the front and they only offer the "street" pads for the rear. I had a lot of squealing when slowly applying the brakes. Turns out the rear pads were the cause. So I can't say the "street" pads are any good. The sport pads made slight noise until they broke in, but have really great stopping power. I replaced the rears with a set of akebono pads. These are really great pads and come with SS hardware clips. I decided on these because of the amount of rust that develops in the rear axle. If you haven't done the job yet, you might want to consider applying some rust converter to the rear axle faces and adjoining area once you remove the rear rotor hats. My ebrake was all seized and there was a ton of rust in there.

Not sure if you are serious???

If so- he's not saying they are "fake" "caliper covers". He's saying they are "fake caliper" "covers". It's a cover that looks like a fake caliper. No such thing as a genuine caliper cover. They don't need to be covered, and it degrades heat dissipation.

Exactly this! you dont want to limit or degrade heat dissipation of the pads otherwise you will run into brake wobble quicker bc the pad material will adhere to the rotor quicker due to the higher heat caused by the covers.

I'm even hesitant on painted calipers bc the paint hold in a certain about of the heat

They do not block any air flow and they DO keep brake dust off my wheels which is why they are there to begin with, they work very well for that. I've been doing brakes 35+ years professionally both ASE and Ford master certified, I can assure you they are perfectly fine.

I was being sarcastic when I made that statement up above. I couldn't careless what people think of my truck and what I do to it and that includes you. Have a nice day.
