First, my truck is a 2010 f150 fx4 w/ sony nav. After a lot of research, the clean sweep or bit one use your factory volume control as a setting for their processors so basically you need a new volume **** off of that unit, plus a bass **** for sub control. If someone changes your volume from the factory volume **** or steering wheel control volume you are changing input signal of the processor. The way around this is the alpine pxa h800. This processor is constantly adjusting sound based on your factory volume control. No ****, but expensive. I ran my focal k2p front components off of the factory wires in the door for woofers and in the pillars for tweeters powered by the factory amp and it sounds great and is loud. I'm sure someone will let me know if I'm wrong but I have spent a lot of time researching this factory stereo and different audio equipment as I worked as a car audio installer, now electrician.

As for the clssi, which I believe is the channel expander, you will only need it depending on how many channels you are needing for the clean sweep to process (fronts, rears, sub, center). I think the clean sweep does a front left/right and a rear left/right. It might even do a sub as well, can't remember. If you are adding say a center channel or if your bi amping the front woofers and tweeters, then you'll need it.

I currently have a 2011 SCab with JL Audio component door speakers with no amp, which don't get me wrong sound a lot better than factory but still sound like crap with no amp to push them. I am looking at an Alpine MRP-F300 for the door speakers which runs 50 rms x4 at 4ohm and the speakers are rated for 75rms at 4 ohm which should be plenty shouldn't it?
I figure while I am doing this I might as well do it all and get it over with. I really want a regular Alpine type-r but its looking like I will have to do with a type-r slim. Does anyone make a single 12" box that will fit the regular type-r with a mounting depth of 6 3/8"?
Here is were I need help, what all am I going to need???? Do I have to buy something for the use of rca's?

AudioControl also makes some great crossover/line input devices. May be worth checking them out for your specific needs.
