Last week I found a smoking deal on eBay for a Sync 3 screen and APIM with no NAV. I bought the USB Hub and wiring adapter, and for less than $500 I am finally rid of My Ford Touch!
Looks great. I'd like to do that. Did you do the job yourself? How big of a job was it?
Not bad at all! Just have to remove old radio. Mount the brackets from the old radio on this one. (had to drill two holes in the bracket) Plug in the radio and replace the USB hub with a newer one. (have to buy a wiring adapter for that)

See above. Any Sync 3 screen and APIM will work. You just have to reuse your stock brackets. Change the USB hub and get the wiring adapter, and program it with FORSCAN.
I'm actually interested in the push button start where the trailer brake controller normally goes.
It's called EASYGO Smartkey. This is what I bought. It's discontinued, so theres not a lot of info on it, but the starter is plug and play, just have to wire up the locks etc like any other alarm. It actually mounts where the 4x4 switch goes, but I didnt want to move that, so I put it where the TBC went, as I never tow anything
Works just like a factory system with a proximity key.
Just curious - how much did you pay for the Screen & APIM? I paid $499 back in November 2017 when I did mine. Selling one on Ebay right now for $515 I pulled out of a 2017 Mustang and it's been sitting for a bit....
