Default Upgrade Platinum Nav. Radio

Alright I'm tired of the stock radio. Ford isn't doing any more updates, Bluetooth almost never connects right constant restart.
Looking to do something with Android auto in it. I have looked all over I can't find a replacement.

I have the Nav. with Sony.

******* YEAR 2011 ******

Go aftermarket. There are models with CarPlay/Android Auto from every major radio company, not sure why you haven't found anything searching. Sync1 is best replaced with aftermarket. I'd likely pick Alpine or Pioneer myself. Kenwood is very popular, too.

i haven't personally done this, but there are examples on the forum. You would need a link device to use steering wheel controls.

Alright I'll redig around. I was trying pioneer but they were saying because the AC is intergrated with the Platinum headunit, it would be a problem. Alpine has one I was looking at for like $1600, had the intergrated AC but the unit was pretty lame.

here is the Error I get. This is Alpine.

Maybe I'm reading the description of this one wrong, but this Pioneer unit says it maintains control of climate controls...

You'll need the Maestro with any of these, I believe. Check out Rnlcomp's.

Yep! And with Crutchfield, they will put together a package that includes the Maestro, and the appropriate harnesses.

There are far cheaper that do almost as much. That one is called "custom". That price does include all the extras, too. They usually list them separate.
