**update** service advancetrac light

I wouldn't expect 2 extra-vehicular battery uses in 7 years to be "abuse". If the monitoring sensor next to the battery is still plugged in, it tends to keep the battery undercharged.

Hey sir, I'm having the same issues. Every-single-morning I go to start it and the Service Advancetrac error light comes on. I found out this only happens when its wet (dewy) outside or when its raining. But if I start it an let it sit there until full operating temperature, then I'll come back outside, turn it off, then start it and it clears for the whole day! I don't understand why it works, except when the engine is cold and wet. Could you be more specific on telling me what they did to fix your truck?
Thanks!
Thanks!

Nov. 3, 2019: New forum member. I have a 2012 3.5 EB with 110K miles. This warning has been plaguing me for a couple of years, but has been getting more frequent. I took the truck in to the local (Angleton, TX) dealer a month ago and he kept it 2 weeks! They wound up reprogramming the computer. No ultimate change. It still comes in "at random" and the turn signals don't engage, etc., just like other forum members report. Any solutions beyond replacing the steering wheel, anyone??

My local dealership service writer had never heard of the turn signal issue, in my case connected to a bad EPAS . In reading this and other EPAS related threads here, lots of us have learned of the turn signal EPAS relationship. Not the first time this forum beats the service writers to the punch.

I’m having the exact same issues. What was the resolution??
I wish I could say I was relieved to see all the F150 owners who are having the same problem but actually it’s worrisome that it hasn’t been addressed by Ford.
Same story here, I was driving down the highway on a level grade doing 45mph when suddenly the advance track service message light comes on. I pulled off to the side of the road, pressed “ok” on the message alert and then, bam, my dash panel goes spastic! Gauges going one way then the other, warning lights going on, my odometer read“-----------“ , my automatic headlights going on and off. I turned the truck off and, waited a few seconds and restarted it, same problem.
I turned around to try to get the truck home and started driving. Gauges going crazy lights going on and off, dash blacking out and restarting and then my power steering went out. I got off the accelerator and started to pull the truck to the side of the road when BOOM I heard a horrendous grinding noise coming from the front of my truck like I had broken a drive shaft and was dragging it on the blacktop. Got the truck stopped, looked under it and nothing, no leaks or dropped anything.
Got the truck towed to the dealership in my town (haven’t had the best luck with them in the past). I call them the day after they got the truck, as I haven’t heard anything from them and they tell me that the truck is fine and there are only codes in the memory telling them it’s an abs module. Dealership says they are conferring with Ford engineers to see if they know what’s going on.
I’ve printed off this thread to take to them to hopefully help them figure it out. Although I’m worried I’m gonna get screwed on the bill because I’ve got 39k miles on my 2012 FX4 5.0
Guess I’ll wait and see what the dealership says after daythree of having my truck.
