The dealer told me it is caused by some electronics in the steering wheel. They ordered a new steering wheel but it's on back order. It has not happen since the first time on 12/5/11.

I know this thread is a little old but does anybody have any updates? I took mine in awhile back for this problem, advance trac light comes on when backing up or sharp turns and turn signals don't work. I was told by dealer that they couldn't replicate the problem and no codes stored. Picked up my truck backed into the drive went off again. Called the dealer they told me unless I have a TSB number or it completely breaks they cant do anything!!! WTF, I always have had good luck with this dealer but that is just a BS answer. Sorry for the rant, im just peeved because this happens on a daily occurrence but I cant get it fixed. If anyone has any more info I would appreciate it.

2011fx4sc do you have any documentation from the dealer as to what the problem was or if it's related to a tsb? I did find a tsb on the traction control lighting up and storing two codes and the rsc advance track intermittently lighting up but only while towing. Not exactly my issue since I'm not towing but I don't know what the fix is for that tsb. It's 11-4-7.

Fuse 36 (or 34 cant remember) is in charge of turn signals and advance trac. Take that fuse out, you lose turn signals and advance trac lights up like a christmas tree. Maybe for you guys having issues, try switching the fuse with another one?? SOunds like that could be the problem. I had a fuse blow but it was for my head unit and hole radio system. When I turned left, it would work sometimes, when I turned right, it would go out.. weird.. but I replaced the blown fuse, and i havent had a problem in 6 months. Try replacing a 3 dollar fuse (in the fuse box under the hood)

The dealer was able to finally replicate the problem and had to replace the rack and pinion. Tomorrow I will upload the description and error code for everyone. I haven't seen it come back since they replaced it today, but I will be keeping an eye on it.

Yesterday I was driving on a dry 2 lane pavement road about 45mph and stomped it to about 75 mph to pass a couple cars.. Truck had 664 miles on it so this was the first time I put the pedal to the floor.. About a mile down the road the service advancetrac light and the check brake system light came on.. Called the dealership and they said bring it in of course, so with the lights still on I'm headed there shortly.. We will see what they have to say.
