Not the best pics but I've been busy. Ok well I love this top. Took it off tonight for kids and family to ride in back of truck for Christmas lights at Callaway gardens. 5 min on and off. And light weight. Stick it in my hotel room. Fit and finish is excellent. Has a built in LED light. And I got better gas mileage on the way here. Prob not due to the cover as I have learned on this site. But I love this thing.

Looks really great on both of your trucks. Got mine 2 mos ago and love it. Very strong. Weighs only 50 lbs. Black finish sure looks good and beads up well with Mequires Quick Mist spray touch up.

BTW that blue ghost metallic color looks great, man.

That is a nice looking cover, probably one of the best I have seen yet!! It looks to be a hard cover and not a vinyl over rails, is this correct?

I was on the fence about whether or not to get the smooth and paint to match, but on more than one occasion with my last truck I caught my kids on it and once my wife. Sand, shoes, kids. Not a good match for nice shiny paint.

I have been on the fence now for 5 days, painted SE smooth or textured SE??? Your comment may have just made the decision for me.

I've already decided on the Undercover due to the ability to easily take the cover off when needed (it is a truck after all) so that left the decision, to paint or not to paint...

I have a black 2011 XTR super crew and I think the textured finish would look good with the other black accents on the truck... But so would the painted one... Decisions decisions. My kids do like to climb as well so I think the decision is clear, I am just over-analyzing this.

i had the same dillemma not too long ago and i got the textured se now.
my opnions are:
- textured se is cheaper ~$300 (or less). i don't have much to spend to begin with.
- in dec 2011, painted se was just out. at the time the local shop would send the smooth se to be painted locally from a shop across their store. i have a concern of long term paint quality (not sure if "the correct" paint was used). i don't know if the painted se currently have paint guarantee or not.
- color matching. i don't now how close it is.
- i don't lose sleep if there are scratches on the textured se.

Default Durability

Tony, that black textured Undercover lid will take lots of wear and tear. And kids walking on top of it won't hurt except for some minor scuffs. I really love mine. Having reaised three sons, I know what you're saying.

Not cheap, but very durable, lightweight and easy to remove and store. And you can open or close it with one arm. I like this
