Undercarriage Rust on New Truck?
I just purchased a new 2013 F150. I realize that it must have sat at the dealership for a while but I wouldn't expect it to have rusted like this. Have others notice that this part rusts quicker? Warranty should cover this rust I believe but I'm not sure how amicable the dealership will be.

Normal, its carbon steel, your brake rotors and some other components will and are going to rust, its all in the compound of the steel.

The term "carbon steel" may also be used in reference to steel which is not stainless steel; in this use carbon steel may include alloy steels
ford axles are painted with +2mm of water based paint, they are going to rust no matter what.
