LOVE mine! With a whole new line-up of engines in 2011, you are bound to hear voicing of observations, differences, questions, and complaints as the bugs are worked out and folks better understand their trucks.
Hardcore said it best: If mine was totalled today, I'd go right back out and buy another one. Great trucks. Enjoy every mile.

Best selling truck for 30+ years running. Number 1 selling vehicle in 2012 in 22 states (most of any vehicle). I think if they can sell that many trucks over that long of a period, it's pretty safe to say they are doing something right. I wouldn't listen to the negative posts; all vehicles have something that someone won't like, it's impossible to please all but the F150 is doing the best at trying.

I'm currently working on my 3 year review. Here's my two year review. I like to write these as so there is something to see when people considering a Ford can read something objective. with pros and cons. Was the thing I wasn't seeing when I bought my truck - reviews from real owners over the long haul.

I do not think you made a mistake - love my 2013 Plat with the 5.0! Great truck! Congrats!
I had an 09 F150 that was great as well, traded that for a '11 Explorer. Traded the Explorer on the truck if that tells you anything

You didn't make any mistake, you will love the 5.0, haven't heard anything but great things about it. Many of us have had zero issues with our F150's but rarely get a chance to say that on the forums.

Like everyone else here, I chose to stay with Ford over every other brand.
My third F150 in a decade and I'm really looking forward to the next one in a few years - should be a lot of changes by then.
I agree that the new 5.0 is one hell of an engine.

Like some here, I was a bit wary when ordering my 2013 FX4 Screw last week given the issues many have experienced. But I recognize that given the sheer number of trucks Ford pumps out each year, there's bound to be comparatively more complaints than just about any other make/model of vehicle.
That said, I vacillated between going with the EB or the 5.0. I went with the 5.0. I'm trading in a BMW, and FWIW when they released their own twin turbo in 2007, it had many problems the first couple of years until the 2010 models came out that were significantly less problem-prone. They figured out the problem, and those who bought the first couple of year models with the twin turbo had many visits to the dealer and parts replaced to fix the issue. I think maybe Ford did the same thing here: put out a twin turbo to big fanfare, and with hundreds of thousands of them on the road they discovered problems that can't be simulated or effectively demonstrated in the laboratory. So they'll probably address those issues, and I suspect those who get a 2014 or 2015 EB will have a very reliable engine. But many more have no-problem EBs than do; I just wasn't willing to take that chance so went with the 5.0. Plus I just like the V8 sound...

The Coyote engine is great. Love my truck. Have one like yours, but a 4x4. This thing drives smooth as butter, has more than enough grunt when you want it, and had been trouble free so far.
