Default Turn Signal Flasher

I have a 2011 F150, does anyone know the location of the turn signal flasher? I'm having trouble finding it. Would like to replace it, went to all LED lights for marker, tail, brake and turn signals. Don't want to add resistors, defeats the purpose of adding LED lamps.

I don't think I have a bulb out warning???? According to some web site I do have a flasher,

I answered this for you on the Forscan sticky yesterday, but yes this is possible for fix with Forscan. I just did it the other day after installing LED's in the tail lights in my truck

It does not come with one, altho they did keep it traditional and kept the tick-tock sound, produced digitally. I took my new flasher to dealer even, I searched high and low still couldnt find it, cuz it doesn't exist, Yet what was confusing was the auto parts store had a part number listed, WELL I believe so anyhow, he looked it up and he went to fetch the part.

I agree with tland4, there is no "traditional" flasher unit. It is part of the BCM (Body Control Module). I also got rid of my hyperflash caused by LED turn signals using the FORScan application. Please do a search. You will find what you are looking for.

Yeah so I installed switchbacks a while back and had the hyperflash. Did some research and came across this forum.

https://www.f150forum.com/f38/forsca...ations-349018/

But, make sure ya go ahead and read all the pages on the f150 forum so you get a good idea of what is going on with this program.
Then go ahead and order a ELM 327 adapter. (The one I ordered took a month to ship, came from china)

So plug the ELM adapter in and hook it up to your PC laptop (has to be PC, not Mac). Then download this software called forscan.

http://www.forscan.org/download.html

Download the forscan version beta for windows... then go back to that site and click on the forum button and make an account.

After you make an account click back on the download tab and then in the middle click link to extended licenses generator (have to have that).

Then once that is taken care of you'll be able to use the forscan program.

Hook it up, then have fun lol
