So at the end of December my engine spun the main bearing so I had a new one put in and had it for about a week before it threw codes P0299 and P0234 for under and overboost at the same time. Basically what the truck is doing is when it hits say 8lbs of boost or more it will start dropping pressure down to like 3 or 4lbs and then shoot back up to 8lbs causing the truck to surge back and forth. I had the dealership that did the engine replacement check the turbos and they replaced everything but the turbos themselves and the problem stayed. They think its the turbos and honestly that seems like the best bet to me since at this point that is one of the few things not replaced. From Ford I'm looking at about $3k for the job but I'm asking a mechanic I know to price the job for me, I'm gonna have him price getting the turbos and doing the job and I am also going to have him price just the job and look at sending my turbos to HTT and having them redone through this https://www.thef150shop.com/collecti...-core-included. Does anyone have any experience with the turbos going bad or something similar to my problem? Also just to make things more fun I haven't had the truck for a year yet and it has only about 76k miles.

I wouldn't go with upgraded turbos unless you plan on tuning it and having it done right so that your truck runs right. You can get turbos from Tasca for about $550. CompTurbo can also rebuild but it runs about the same price.
