Truxedo low pro bedcover question

good looking truck, I have the lo pro as well my question is on the back the little rubber flap does it stay out when you close the tail gate or go in. mine only closes good if I shoot the gate and then close the cover. been doing that for four years now wondering if I need to adjust something
Truxedo should warranty it!! Call them. Let us know your experience. I just out a new truxedo lo pro on. Loving it so far. Here's a pic.

I've been closing the cover first then the tailgate. The rubber lip points down. I'm in Arizona and we don't get much rain (just Haboobs) so I'm not sure how "sealed" it really is. Loving the cover so far. Heading to the coast soon so we'll find out how "sealed" it really is.
