Default Truck trade ????

I have an operatunity to due and even trade on a truck.
2010 XLT XTR with a 4.6l 3v with 20,000kms Chrome package rest is pretty much base.

TRADE FOR

2007 3500 (not dually) 6.0l deisel Lariat with 74,000kms Loaded with leather.

Is this a good trade.
I have no experience with fords 6l deisels and what kind of fuel milage they get.
Any insite would be appriciated.

replace the head studs with arp or something better and then block off the egr cooler.
also dont let it idle for a long time and then shut it off without getting on it a little or youll get 'soot stacking'.

other than that the 6.0 will last a long time if you have the patience for it.

i almost got an '05 lariat 350 DRW, but the dealer wouldnt come down on the price much, surprisingly.

Really, it depends on what you want to accomplish. If gas mileage is your only criteria, you're probably better off with the F150.

You also need to consider that the F-350 is 3 years older with 50k more kms. From what I've heard, the diesels will run forever, but that there were several other issues with the F250/350s. I'm sure someone here has more insight.

My biggest issue is that we have a 30' TT that comes in at about 6000lbs the way it is now. I have no issues towing it except for the occational steep hill.
But most of my family camping trips have been local at 3-4 hours about 300kms being the furthest away. I would like to do longer trips 1-2 weeks across Canada and the US. I know the truck won't like that.
But My other issue is that 90% of the time the truck is used for commuting back and forth to work.
So im at the point of downgrading my TT or upgrading the truck.
