Default Transmission skipping 2nd when decelerating?

Does anyone else’s truck do this? When coming to a stop, truck stays in 3rd gear and then jumps to 1st. Just trying to see if this is a symptom of a trans problem. Had a loud grinding noise a couple weeks ago that went away.

Thanks,

This is normal to prevent a jerk into 2 and then 1 when stopping

Mine does this in normal drive mode. If I am in Tow/Haul it will sometimes shift 3-2-1 but very rarely.

Does anyone else have increased driveline vibration and noise in 4A? I didn't used to have it but it has recently gotten pretty bad.

I would check the front driveshaft. Also check the axle shafts and IWEs.
