Default Transmission problems

Well, went and had the transmission recall that's supposed to fix the down shifting while driving along a month ago. Normally, it downshifts to 1st from like 2nd or 3rd gear right after I take off. The recall did not fix that. My dealer told me it sounded like a shift solenoid problem to him. This morning riding along in 6th at 50 mph and it downshifted to 1st barked the tires. Then shifted to 2nd barked them again and shifted to 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th. WTF?

Also, several times in the last 3 months the transmission has got stuck in 1st and I have to stop and start again for it to shift correctly. Twice in the last 3 months the instrument cluster has died and I only had 2nd and 5th gear. I had to stop and turn the truck off for that to correct itself both times.

p.s. The recall I had done was the software update to the Transmission ECU.

Sounds exactly like the issue I had when they damaged the transmission internal wiring harness when replacing the separator plate.
Had to have it towed back to the dealer as mine got stuck in 5th and would not shift back to 1st.

Do you have any more information on this recall? My 2012 sometimes feels like its downshifting when I let off the gas and let it drift in town, then when I accelerate it almost hiccups a bit.

The recall info use to be in Sync online but, now that the recall has been performed it conveniently isn't there now and neither is all of the warranty work done on this piece of chit. I see Toyota in my future. It wasn't the leadmold frame recall. This one was a software up date.
