Default transmission problem

When engine running you go into high gear or neutral - the engine just revs but doesn't move. Happens intermittent - 2013 ECO 3.5 4x4

Do you mean right after you have shifted from neutral into drive? I've had this problem on both my 2011 and 2013 - usually results in a tiny bit of throttle input causing a huge rev, then suddenly 'catching' and burning out.

Girlfriend nearly went through the garage once because of it. :\

You could have a trans that is loosing oil pump prime. Theres a TSB to replace the pump. I have also replaced several main controls (valvebodies) for similar issues.

Have you visited your dealership for this concern, fordsonly1? Having them diagnose your truck will be your best first step. If you haven't already, feel free to use this to get the ball rolling.

Please let me know how things unfold!

Thank you Brittany for your quick response - I took my Ford into the local dealership (Butler Ford ) and it is the first time we have been impressed with the care they gave us - they drove it and did some adjustments and if the problem continues they will replace the pump. Keeping fingers crossed it is fixed - if not we will be returning to the dealership
