Transmission Delay When Going from Forward to Reverse
I did some searching but didn't really see anything exactly like I'm experiencing. Here's how the transmission behavior occurs, and I just want to make sure it's normal:
My driveway is on a slope (not really steep, but steeper than some and definitely downhill). I always back into my garage, so when returning home, I back into my driveway almost to garage, pull forward to straighten out, and then put in reverse again to back all the way into the garage. When I go from forward to reverse during that last step, the truck is stopped and my foot is on the brake, and then when I let off the brake my truck wants to start rolling down the hill as if I'm in neutral (it doesn't feel like there's any load on the transmission). I then have to give it a little gas to get the trans to engage in reverse.
Does this sound like normal behavior? Should the transmission engage as soon as I'm in reverse and try to hold my truck even slightly on that slope? It almost sounds like TSB 13-04-15, but my truck certainly isn't cold when this happens.

I know there is hill control to stop you from rolling back in drive, but I don't know if it's the same in reverse... when you are in forward or reverse and there is no throttle being applied, the torque converter is not locked and without hill control, given enough of an incline, it will roll the opposite direction of the direction of the gear.
actually I'm quite confident there is no hill control in reverse... I was backing my camper in my driveway (weight or bigger tires will exaggerate this action) and letting off the gas was letting my truck roll forward.

Mine does that if im super eager about letting go of the brakes right after shifting. My driveway is almost identical to what you are describing and i do it every time i back into my driveway. If i shift and immediately let go of the brakes i still drift forward. If i shift, and wait like 2-3 seconds and then let go of the brake i dont go anywhere.
Mine does this as well and it's mostly when it's cold. It looks like mine is TSB 13-04-15.... yours could be that issue as well only that it's so bad that it happens when warm as well. I noticed mine does it here and there warm.
