Default Transmission conductor plate

Had anyone replaced one of these? I have a 14 with the ecoboost an MD is throwing s p0706 and p0707 codes. Everything I can find says it is the conductor plate. How bad is it to keep driving? It just cane on last night when coming home from work. The parts not that easy to.find either, dorman 926149 is the part.

Don't put anything electric that says Dorman into your truck. It is usually called the leadframe for the 6r80, may be why you can't find it easily. They have been a serious problem, even with a warranty extension and recall. Although, not for 2014. They are hard to get because of the problems, constantly on backorder.

What's wrong with the dorman brand? What other brands would there be? All the others ones I can find sound like a city in china somewhere.

They fail. Constantly. With few exceptions, I would stick with Motorcraft for anything that plugs in or moves. (water pump may be an exception)

I called the Ford parts house and he quoted me $708 for a leadframe. That's crazy, everything else seems to be around $250ish.

Control Assembly Transmission - Ford (FL3Z-7A100-E)

Looks like maybe it only comes as a whole unit from Ford? That's the same part number the ford parts gave me..

Conductor plate......looks like someone plays with a lot of German cars!

(Fun fact - the 6R80 is based on the ZF 6HP26, which you find in quite a few BMW's, Astons, Jags, Rolls, ETC.......to be fair, it probably is called a conductor plate at ZF.)

WOW! I'm actually shocked they would call it that. I just guessed because all my Benz buddies are replacing pretty much the same part, and Benz calls it that.
