Default Transfer case interchangeable

PLEASE HELP

Anyone know if these 2 transfer cases ( we call it 4x4 ) are interchangeable?

CL3Z-7A195-C & CL3Z-7A195-D

reason is there aren't many FX4 6.2 in my country and not one single one in the scrap yard but MANY Expeditions.

First you should post what year you are working on....include engine & anything you know that might affect the stated parts ?? (like a 4A option)
going from memory here: For the years 11 to 14 many of the transfer cases were interchangeable...the exception would be any model that has the 4A (auto).....
Obviously you can only change the 4A with a 4A transfer case......
Lariots for sure & up may probably all have the auto option....(don't know this for sure)....You may even be able to swap a regular case in there...check fit & sizes etc...
I see you are out of country.........Try car-part.com list your year model etc........you may have to put in a "US" zip code to get results
then see what results & years show up then compare your numbers etc.
Others will chime in & add further info I'm sure..."Good Luck"

I went on carpart .com..........this is what I found:
your # CL3Z-7A195-C & CL3Z-7A195-D

This is what came up requesting search option: 2013 F150 : It gave me 2 search options 3 or 4 mode .....motor size did not seem to matter
(ID CL34-7A195-AA thru AF) 3 mode shift on the fly (many years fit 11 to 14....

I would be guessing here that your numbers fall into the above 3-mode option....you would have to confirm it is the 3-mode Trans. case !!!
Hope this helps!!!

Also 2nd searched option: (ID CL34-7A195-BA thru BE) 4 mode transfer case, (torque on demand), (I believe is the 4A option)

Also searched 2013 expedition : it did not give me a 2 search options & on the only search it gave I would say a higher percentage of the listing specifically stated were for 4-mode cases !!
I concluded all expeditions had the 4-mode option which I'm sure is the 4Aoption...Again you would have to check

Thanks for your reply

Sorry if my post didnt include my cars spec

I was shcoked when my mechanic told me it was the transfer case so I gathered the info I can and searched for help
My car is a 2013 FX4 with the 6.2 engine,
The transfer case number CL3Z-7A195-C is what the parts shop gave me for my car.

Transfer case number CL3Z-7A195-D is for the Expedition but not sure which year ( aso the parts shop gave it to me to compare both )

sounds to me like you have a 2013 XLT with the 3-mode case & that is good...as it is very common & many years will fit & work !!
I did not see when searching 2013 expeditions that any 3-mode were specifically mentioned (only 4-mode & a bunch with no specific listing)
Do a search for 2011 expedition on that carpart.com site & see if those part numbers come up....That should tell you something....
Can you see in an auto wreckers there; in those expeditions if the 4x4 control **** has a 4A position....If it does it aint the right part...
also can you compare each transfer case to yours ???? Good Luck.....They sell used here for around $250. to $300 US here....

Time to start looking for a better mechanic maybe? Thankfully it was properly diagnosed before a new T-case was installed.
