Question Trans gear display missing?

Good morning all,

I searched the forums for variations of transmission, gears, display, and recall and I didn't get any relevant responses. I did not search the forscan docs, however. If this has been asked and answered, my apologies for not finding it.

I have a 2013 STX 5.0 4x4 RC. I have swapped the instrument cluster for a unit from a Lariat and successfully used forscan to add remote start, fog lamps as DRL and some other minor tweaks.

A couple of days ago I had my truck serviced at the local Ford shop, and they applied the recall for the transmission dropping into 1st. I noticed not long afterwards that the gear display on the RH side of the LCD is now missing. Manual gear display still seems to work.

Has anyone else noticed this? Did the service tech connecting to my truck reset values expecting the original instrument cluster? I do have the As Built data and I'm pretty sure I've saved the tweaks I've made.

Thank you,

PS: My truck does have a compass that displays in the rearview mirror, but I can't seem to get forscan to have a compass display on the LCD. Is there a second compass hardware module required for that?

Thank you,

Thank you. I would have never thought of that.

You may want to read the manual a bit. Things like this are in there.
