Trailer Sway? WTF

See mine is hit or miss on both my 13 ' s. I can tell when it's on with the button press and hold disable of the rest of it... and if I shut it off sometimes it's just off for quite a number of restarts. I honestly don't know what turns it on and off without ever hooking up a trailer. It's annoying like almost all these other supposed safety features. Replace your rear axles with shafts that don't have tone rings... and say bye bye to all of it lol.

My driving style is nothing of concern, the truck absolutely did not "save" me from anything as I drive my other trucks without any of these nannys in the same manor and never went off the road or had any close calls. I don't know how ya'll do it down south but snow and ice does not slow us down in Alaska. I was getting up to highway speed, which is what you do on the on-ramp, so i could merge in with traffic that was flowing at 65-70 mph.
The T/C light did not blink and it did not react like T/C. It felt like something put the brakes on for a minute, which i believe is what the Trailer Sway does if it feels the need?

I was wrong ! it does not stay off on my 14, turn the truck off and then start it again go back in your setup menu and you will see its on again. The nanny's on these trucks are a FN joke , Will NEVER buy another truck that they wont stay off ! dont care if i have to buy a 10 year old truck , loved my 06 F150 without all these stupid things, never lost control of that truck ! I drive in alot of snow and mud and these nanny's are so damn annoying , i NEVER want any feature that can cut my throttle and apply brake , they actually make it harder to get unstuck . when im in the backcountry i have to pull fuse 47 to keep this crap off , if i would have known about these nanny's would have never got a new F150 ..

I wish you could turn the nannies on if you want/need them on. Instead of having to turn them off, only to have them come back on.

I doubt it was trailer sway control. It was likely RSC, ECS, or TCS. Your owners manual has several pages of info about those features. It helped me understand how they work, and when.

I don't like pulling fuse 47. I drove with it out for quite some time in my 2013s and it's not the best thing. It's fine if it's dry out but once it's slick you get issues. Namely that the abs motor will kick in during a skid and fight with you pushing the brake pedal. It doesn't do it all the time but if the wheels lock in the right manner for it, the abs motor basically locks the pedal even though it is not pulsing the brakes. You can let off and reapply and only get partial pedal travel. I have 2 2013 trucks and it does it on both.
Guys like pulling 47 as the E locker will still function as it always does but you lose all traction garbage plus the abs.... but the abs isn't totally dead. The best way is fuse 36 and hot wire the E locker if you want that thing or replace it with something else. That way you at least have a normal non abs driving experience lol.
The thing to remember is with either fuse out you always have just an open rear end unless you lock the diff or you have a mechanical limited slip. Like I said 47 allows the diff to lock up to 30 mph as it always does but that's it.
I said axles without tone rings because that's what my fx4 is getting. I bought aftermarket axle shafts for the rear and they simply don't have the tone ring for the abs sensor to pick up so the whole works will be dead that way too.
