Me too....... I still have 2 GM trucks.... one my daily work rig and one a toy. One is an 04 and one is an 05. They stopped building pickup trucks altogether during the 2007 model year. If I wanted a heap though to drive into the ground.... 2007-2013 fits the bill nicely. Have to be a 6.2 so I can stay away from the AFM crap.

So I guess the 2014 is the "throwback" model?

That's why I bought it, duh.

No seriously, I find that the issue with the round ones is that when you upgrade the tire size and lift the truck...it throws off the center point on the wheel well.

But, I notice small crap like that...lol. The Square doesn't do it, lol....as big as you want to go and as high!!

I didn't realize how much "broader" the 2014 is over the 13's until yesterday...it's pretty noticeable.

---The other thing I am liking about the silverado is the lack of body lean...cornering is more like my Silverado SS.

My HIDs are great and overall, the truck is also great! I'm not trying to dump on your post hear but these are all the reasons I chose the f150 truck.
LOL @ ecoboost gives you plent of poop. I know it's a typo, but the 3rd grader in me is giggling.

Anyway, I can't believe how much quieter my 2014 Silverado is over my F-150 Platinum. Even with SoundScreen and top level trim, the Platinum was louder than my low trim Silverado. Now, I'm not saying it was crazy loud, I'm just impressed that a truck cab could get more quiet than that.

A friend of mine at school just got a 2014 Silverado, came from a 2006 LBZ Duramax. Told him he should of kept the Duramax. SAS, Tuned diesel, lifted, the whole shabang. Nice Truck.
Goes and gets a 2014 1500 Z71 4x4, already recalled to the dealer twice for problems. Told him he should of kept his LBZ.

---Like I said I came from a 2013 F150 Ecoboost 4x4 Off-Road (again stiffer ride).

The 2014 Sierra/Silverado ride is confusing to describe. The ride is "firmer" than the F150 but is better...I don't feel as many vibrations, I guess.

The door sills are def thicker and the doors have been in-layed (IE: they fit tighter). The doors feel a lot better than my F150. Also the HOOD feels better, lol. The f150 hood is a little -- flimsy on the close.

The ecoboost def has more power, just not as much as one would expect. The 5.3L feels more powerful than our 5.0L scabs 4x4's that I've driven on duty several times. It's rated 355/383 and on E-85 goes to 380/416----and the dyno's show it at like 307 whp and 332ish lbs of tq. Not bad at all and it looks like GM left some room on the table.

Power is like this EcoBoost>5.3L>5.0L...I think that 2015 will be a great change for Ford....IF they have fixed the issues they claim to have.

My issue is Ford's band-aid approach to issues on MY truck. The Overall Ford's engines are great engineering marvels...the 5.0L is def de-tuned. Side note my Silverado is def killing the mileage my ecoboost made. 22.7MPG's over 50 miles on 70% highway and 30% city....over 25 miles of 100% highway at around 72mph she got 24+mpg.

sorry if I missed it but what gears and payload capacity does your new gm have?

A retired union member, proud of it, and I still buy a new F-150 every two years and I can afford to do so.
I'm not going to keep this comment. Figure a union guy would be "proud"
You "union" guys crack me up. Unions are failing for a good reason.
