Trading 11 to 13.
Haven't posted in a while, but some folks here may/may not remember me as the one that b**ched, griped and complained about how much the fuel economy sucked on my 11 Ecoboost!! Well, after two years of owning my 11 FX4 Screw, I have decided to trade in for a 13 FX4 Screw with Ecoboost.
Why you may ask would I do this?? Well, after returning back to Texas back in 12 when I almost lost my dad to an illness, I drove his GMC Sierra Fully Loaded 1500 for the 10 days we were down there. We drove about 35 miles one way back and forth between Henderson and Tyler Texas. It was during that time that I realized just how bad the overall fuel economy, ride, general feel, and quietness of the cab was in comparison to my slightly lesser package FX4.
We have since returned back home twice, and each time my dad is nice enough to let me drive his truck around to save on renting a car for a week at $400+ bucks. Each time I have returned home with a new appreciation for just how much power, and throttle response this Ecoboost has, in comparison to the 5.3L V8 in his GMC Z71. It is really a night and day feeling that I get from riding and driving his truck, and my wife agree a 100% with me.
With that said, I DID NOT WRITE THIS TO FLAME ANOTHER BRAND, I was a pretty big GM Fan before coming over to Ford in 2011. I wrote this to express my personal opinion that Ford makes a good truck, and personal perspective based on my comparison of past vehicles owned (2003/4 Dodge Ram, Dad's 2009 GMC Sierra) had led to a better appreciation for the Ecoboost in general.
The fact that I will break even and pay off my 2011 after having it for just two years (really held value well) and FINALLY to be able to "upgrade" to all those little things I would have liked in my 11 such as HID Headlights, Navigation, Heated and Cooled seats, and most importantly the great debate ender of dual climate controls so my wife can have a jungle, while I drive comfortably in a northern climate range LOL!!
Gonna go with the same color, pictures to follow soon after I pick it up tonight.

Thanks guys, I would like to reiterate again that I am not writing this above to knock, degrade, or flame GM, or any other brand. I personally could care less about which is better, nor will I even speculate as to which has more "American" parts and all that stuff LOL!!
I picked up the truck tonight and I notice very little difference so far between the 3.73 and the 3.55 in regards to acceleration. It is raining like hell up here in Central PA and I really can't get out there for a full fledged cruise to see if there are any differences even noticeable (doubtful) I will say that I LOVE HAVING LEATHER AGAIN for the ease of cleaning, and I love the heated/cooled seats, along with the touch screen business that is really almost overwhelming in regards to all the stuff they put on there to do LOL!!
Ford makes great trucks whether they are 5.0, 3.5 ECO, or the 6.2. I would say the 3.7 as well if that is what suits your wants and needs, I personally like more power myself I am sure the others are great as well, but I personally am glad to return to Ford from my 13 FX4.

LOL, well, of all places to flame the Chebby, this would be the safest place to do it!! Even if we all gripe and bicker among ourselves as to whether the Eco is better than the 6.2 or 5.0, we all at least generally find that we enjoy an F-150 over any of the others!!??
