Default traction control fully disabled

hello
today was the first time i drove my 14 f150 in the snow and with the traction control i really dislike it in the snow. Is there any programmer that can fully remove or disable the traction control?

You push the disable button once and then push and hold it till it says "advance control off". The only thing I know, and ever did.

No there isn't. Push and hold the botton for 8 seconds is the best you get unless you want to pull fuses, which most don't as you lose ABS and your brake controlled simulated limited slip. That's the options you have. Fuse 47 under hood kills the ABS and all traction/roll/stability functions. The rear e locker will still work as it does now. You will not have the brake controlled 1 wheel speed control. I have found with 47 out the ABS motor will still pulse depending on the skid and can potentially interfere with braking which isn't exactly safe.

Fuse 36 kills it all..... and nothing works. No rear locker, no abs motor, nothing. I will run this way on my FX4 once I have it back together as it will have a Detroit Locker in the rear so I don't care about e locker function obviously. I put fuse 47 back in my XLT for now and run it stock.... even if it annoys me. The ABS motor thing was one thing which could easily get dangerous...... and the weak rear axle shafts in these trucks is another. I found in certain wheel skid situations on ice with 47 pulled the abs motor would fight you and essentially make for zero brake pedal travel..... not good. Fuse 36 out will not do that..... it's dead.... but you have a constant open rear end without either hot wiring the e locker or replacing it with something else.

I wouldn't mind retaining ABS now and again but I can deal with losing it to rid the truck of the rest of the rubbish it has.

Considering that most of it is controlled by modules that no tuner other than whatever Ford uses for programming software ( not the dealer IDS thing either), no.

I tune with HP tuners.... which is more capable than SCT. You can't touch this crap as you don't have tuning capability on things like the ABS module, the body control module, the transfer case control module, etc.

I have a cell in the tuning the software that is engine displacement multiplied by 10 ( so for me it's 62) and it says if you set it to zero it disables traction control. Well what the hell..... I will try it...... although I already know from anyone I have talked with it does nothing I will see for myself.

So no..... tuners don't do squat.

Your brakes apply individually when it detects wheel slip to try and keep the tires turning equal speeds. It does it on the front wheels when in 4wd too... I think it's utterly worthless but some guys out there like it.

My 2009 which I bought used has the traction control somehow disabled.

It flashes on the consol always, the temporary disable switch doesn't do anything.

If I scan the ECM it showed the yaw switch as not being functional.
The truck was in an accident at some point and fixed, airbag light is not on, passenger sensor works etc. ABS works fine, rear mechanical track loc works.

Try unplugging the yaw switch and see what it does. I think roll over and stability control and traction control will go off line.

This is a part time 4 wheel drive base level reg cab, with 6 speed and 4.6 3v. Maybe the newer trucks are more sophisticated, not sure.

Not sure where Yaw sensor is located on truck; frame rail maybe.

I though about replacing it to get rid of speedo indicator for traction control being off.

But have heard of so many complaints about how intrusive the nanny stuff is that I haven't bothered. Yam sensor also worth around $300 I believe.
