Default TPMS Sensor Date Code

I just bought some new TPMS-12 Sensors on Amazon for my 2010, and want to make sure they are not too old (have heard some horror stories).

Have included a picture here with some numbers that appear to be a date code, and want to make sure this set of numbers is, in fact, the date code.

***Pls note this pix is one I found online and is similar to the ones I have. My date code is actually "160804" so I think I am OK. But could someone please confirm I am looking at the right set of numbers. Thanks

I realize you posted this over a year ago. Perhaps it will be of help to the next person who comes upon this thread. The date is stamped on the other side of the sensor, where it mates with the valve stem. One circle is for month and the other is year.

I am not sure what the number you refer to denotes.
