Default TPMS fault diagnosis

I have a 2011 FX4. about a month ago I started getting a tpms fault numerous times after driving 20 to 30 miles. I have the electronic training tool and have retained all 4 wheels several times. Each time I train them I get the confirmation honk from each one and the dash read out stated training completed. All of my tires have 38lb of air. I'm assuming one of them has a bad battery or a defect of some kind. These are the original sensors that came with the truck when new.
Is there some way to determine which wheel sensors is the bad one? I really don't want the expense of replacing all 4. Since all 4 honk each time I train them i'm stumped. If it is a bad battery you wouldn't think it would train and give the honk confirmation. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance
