Default Tpms

I am getting ready to swap out my stock 17" FX wheels for a set of Raptor wheels. I will admit I am ignorant when it comes to the TPMS. I know I can retain them so I can use them with the Raptor wheels but will they work or will I need to swing by the dealership and have them re-calibrated?

Read your owners manual. It explains how to re-set them when rotating tires, etc. It worked great on my truck.

If you put them in the same positions they came out of, you shouldn't have to do anything, but if you do, there is a video on syncmyride Ford website how to recal them. I'm sure yours is the same, but this is a relearn video.

Even if you put them in a different location you might be fine. I've rotated my tires and didn't have to do anything with the TPMS afterwords.

They will work just fine on the Raptor wheels with no need to re-calibrate. Just swapped my FX4 wheels for Raptor wheels two months ago along with the TPMS. I'm pretty sure the TPMS isn't location specific either because I've never needed to re-calibrate mine after rotating.

Not every truck uses the same pressure on the front and back wheels. Mine are 55 front and 60 rear. If you rotate your tires, the TPMS may show a low tire unless you relearn.

I also have the Kenwood DNX890 with the Maestro which allows me to see the tire pressures. So it is important they be the pressures for the correct tires.
Here is an example of what I see.
