Default Tow package?

Went and looked at a 2013 f150 w/5.0 today. Didn't have a trailer hitch but had he 4pin connector. Also had tow/haul on the shifter. Would this mean it has the factory tow package or what?

Tow package would include the hitch, 4 and 7 pin plugs, and factory trailer brake on the dash.

No tow pkg on that 2013 F150. I recommend you view Ford's website on models and options as well as use: "Build Your F-150" utility to see what's available on each trim level and what's included in each option package or separate option. You can still view and "build" a 2013 model by editing the URL string from included "2014" to "2013".

Standard tow package doesn't always include trailerr brake controller. Max tow always does.

Ok thanks guys. I didn't think it had the tow package but wasn't sure since it had the option on the shifter and some trailer wiring.

I haven't read the WHOLE thread since it's 29 pages, but check out post #79. I don't know if what applied to a 2010 applies to a 2013, I haven't gone poking around under my dash and spare tire area yet. But I'm in the same boat and that post looks promising....
