Default Tow Mirror Replacement

I'm looking into getting tow mirrors for my F150 XLT. I have stock mirrors and was looking to upgrade to a tow mirror. Cost to buy a set? Is removal and install of mirrors easy? Is the upgrade worth the money? Thanks

Very easy to do there are a ton of threads on this topic. With that said I got a set from Tasca Ford and had them installed in about half an hour. The hardest part was figuring out how to take the door panel off after you pull the screws. You need to lift up on it instead of pulling it off. If you have the power but no turn or heat when you get the tow mirrors they will have turn and with the correct plug for them to work. If you want to have heat you will need a new climate control module which will have a button on it for rear defrost. Have fun

You can get the manual mirror. If adding the power mirror you can make it work with the memory and puddle lamps but the dealer will have to reprogram. I have a set that I put on my 09 Lariat CC when I haul my 23' center console Whaler long distances and it takes about a half an hour to swap them out. 5 screws on door panel and three on the back of the mirror.

I changed the mirrors out on my old Dodge and it wasn't that bad. Just ordered a set of tow mirrors for my F150 and am glad to see the install is the same.
