Default Torque specs

2012 5.0 stock everything... The other day my neighbor may have saved my bacon. I was putting a wheel back on and about to torque it on, he asked what I do them to and I said 150. He freaks and Said no more than 125. Maybe just do 100. So now I'm stumped, I had a ford 'trained' mechanic tell me 150 so please help... Who to believe
Thanks

Well, I would believe the Owners Manual and then the Ford trained mechanic.

For my 2014, the Owners Manual states 148 lb-ft for the wheel lug nut torque and that is the spec I follow.

I do 150lbs.
Look in your owners manual, it will tell you for sure.

these trucks have a much better stud than the old ones, much stronger. 150 is the correct torque.

M-a-n-u-a-l? What is this manual? I should read it after a $40 - 50k purchase?
