Default Top off...Trickle?

I promised I searched for this...

I topped off yesterday after the click...something i've never done before, but you know I was going for that "Perfect dollar amount" and low and behold fuel came out from under the truck.

Is it some blow back issue? Is this normal?...am I normal?

Yeah I can't ever get mine to take any more fuel after it shuts off after the first click. It always spills a little out if I try to top it off.

It's a tough habit to break especially after my 08 Super Duty, you could put another 5 gallon in after it clicked off! I usually just take the nozzel out after it clicks unless I need a couple of cents to get an even dollar amount.

Same thing here, works best if you let it sit for about 30 secs and then bring it to an even amount but don't push it.

I would agree as mine has done it before. In fact one day I even was able to fill up the spot where you put the nozzle in. It did eventually leak a little bit I'd imagine, but I certainly did fill it right up!

Thanks everyone. Good to hear it's a average issue and nothing big. Note to self...put pump away when it stops...writing that down.
