I have a 12 KR Screw with a 5.5 bed. I took my weather guard low pro off my f250 and had it painted to match. I have a fleet of trucks and equip and never know what I may need. Also when I go hunting, I want all my guns dry, and not in my cab.

I also have a 14' trailer, so not so worried about bed space. I've never been a fan of bed covers, personal preference.

It's not much to have them painted and looks great.

I don't get those low profile ones that are just the lid sticking up, why wouldn't you get one that fits inside the bed completely? There can't be any usable storage hanging over the bed rails.

Dude with white truck looks good ptm his lower color but to the op I think it looks great just black, I'd like to see another picture not in the shade however just to be sure.

Because if it's on the rails, you still have room to put stuff under the toolbox.

Ah yes, I forgot that feature! Been quite a few years since I've had that style toolbox. I've switched from doing construction when I was younger to farming, now instead of a tool box I have a tool truck, haha!

.
When I had my last couple trucks (crew can long bed Powerstrokers) I had the same box in both of them, it sat down in the bed and I loved that. It was not in sight and I could move it if necessary and it had tons of room. But now that I have a shorter bed, I need that box up off the bottom of the bed so that I can use the room underneath, it doesn't look like a lot of room but sometimes it's the difference between something fitting and not fitting. And since its low profile, it doesn't make any blind spots.

Yes that's a great point, with a5.5 bed and toolbox you end up with a3 foot useable bed, lol

I decided to get my box PTM line-x'd which is scheduled for tomorrow. The sun was shining in the driveway this afternoon, so I got a couple pictures to show the brown color better. This is the first time I've seen the true color since I've owned the truck, it looks black 99% of the time. I think the PTM box will look nice with this new brown color.

PTM toolbox on Platinum White is both possible and beautiful with some work, you can do it yourself like I did. Pic below, build thread here http://forums.radioreference.com/rad...ml#post1724946

I've had trucks since 1984 and this one is the first I've put a tool box in. I put a bright aluminum UWS in the bed and it sure is handy. The look goes well with the "chrome" trim. I was also thinking about a "DU-HA" under seat storage system but haven't pulled the trigger on it.
