Default Tonneau Cover Update.....

Hi all,

Well, after all the the great suggestions, input and my own research I've narrowed it down to the Bakflip G2....$628 incl. shipping from most automotive e-tailer's, it's the best bang for the Buck ....was going for the Peragon, but actually spoke to a very knowledgeable guy at Bak Industries and read many Truck owners acolades about the G2 on other Truck forums and the concensus was overwhelmingly in favor of the G2 for overall quality and ease of installation.

Thanks again guys...

never heard of paragon before, but just googled them, looks way better folded up than a bakflip, what were the disadvantages of the paragon? Just installation ease? lol!

The Paragon can only be used full closed or open I understand. Removes a little too easy & would be a PIA in the winter/ice IMHO. You lose only a few inches of the bed, but would suck to dent with cargo. Nice choice Bakflip G2 seems to be popular for a reason. I had a leaky Pace Edwards roll top on last rig. $1200 leaking mess of a choice for me. Take a pic or 3 for the guys.

Ya, that makes sense. Ive heard lots of people complain about bakflip leaking too though, perhaps installer is at fault in most leaky toneau cover cases. But seems anyone whos seen/used both prefers extang solid fold over the bakflip. I think the backflip looks great if you never have to fully open it or haul anything that way, then it looks dumb, lol!
