I have the extang trifecta and it works great. Not to mention, it didn't break the bank!

Anyone have an opinion on "truxedo" brand covers. The truxport model in particular, i know is their entry level cover, but can be had shipped for $300. Price seems great. what about quality?

I have the truxedo deuce which opens from the front. Only had it 4 months, so far works great. Barely leaks when going through a high pressure car wash and even then I think its coming in around the tailgate. I do not yet have my tailgate seal installed. Its not really the best for security as you can lift it up a little in the middle and possible catch the latch to open it, I have a 6.5 foot bed. However if someone wants in they are getting in no matter what cover you have, hard or soft, its just easier with soft. Security isnt a high concern of mine though, so other than that I really like it. Fast to roll up and unroll. Has Velcro instead of snaps which is very fast.

Thanks guys, I appreciate all the replies and opinions. My issues seem to have me stuck a little though. I need to have reliable security for tools, a place to stuff lumber under for transport and a secure bed. My last truck I just had, had a large tool box and used master lock cables for everything in the bed. When it rained I had to load up the cab. I guess no one on this fourm has bought the cover I am looking at. I think it would be perfect for my needs, I am just questioning its value as I can't seem to find it for much less that $2500, ouch.....

As I said before... I have the exact same cover you are looking at minus the tool box section. They funtion exactly alike.

It is very well made and very secure if your tail gate locks. I may put one on my new truck if I can afford it. I didnt think the tool box add on was worth the huge price difference though.

It will leak a little... no way around that but it is not bad. It is heavy duty... you could stand on it I am sure and it looks very vice.

I believe it is the best roll back top you can buy from my research.

However I am going to look hard at the backflip HD. It is less exspensive and doesnt require drilling 1" holes for water to drain out. That was a suprise wen I went to install it... when the instructions said to take a 1" hole saw and cut three holes in my brand new truck bed I almost died.

x2. Have the same cover and love it. Easy to open / close, reasonably secure and have not had any water leakage under normal use.

I had the BakFlip and it leaked but I now have the Solid Fold and have found it to not only be stronger and more secure, but water tight.

I've never had a single drop of water make it in to the bed sine I got the Solid Fold (even from high pressure washes).

Unfortunately, my tonneau folds and doesn't roll though, so maybe its out of the question.

I have the Extang Full Tilt and love it. This is the second one I have bought and when I get another new truck I will be buying it again. They roll up out of the way when needed the lift on gas shocks normally and can be taken on and off the truck within 30 seconds by one person. I have never noticed any water leaks in the bed but I do not open it every day. I get the snapless covers because I don't like the look of the snaps. They run around 350 to 380 depending on snap or snapless. Just a Happy Customer.

I'm sure tool boxes are nice to have if you really need one. Roll-up bed covers take up valuable space depending on what the bed is used for.

For the money, I chose a BackFlip F1. I've only had it for a couple months and like it a lot.
