Default tires, need help!

2011 F150. I'm running duratracs, 275/65/R18. Looking to switch over to winters now, and found a good deal on some 270/70/R18. Will they fit my stock rims, or will they be too wide?? Please help

What's wrong with your current 275/65/18? They are DuraTracs, no? They are winter tires.

The duratracs are a great all terain, but when it comes to severe ice, they dont do the trick. Snow theyre good with, but not so much ice.

They are slightly more narrow than what you are running now (275, 270, etc is the width in mm, the 65, 70, etc is the aspect ratio, multiple width x aspect ratio, divide by 100 is sidewall height in mm)

So, width of the tire is 275 (or whatever) /25.4 (to convert to inches)

Height of the tire is width * aspect ratio/100 *2/25.4 rim size
(275 * .65 * 2 / 25.4 +18 for the first ones...32.07" tall, 10.8" wide)
(270 * .70 * 2 / 25.4 +18 for the winters...32.88" tall, 10.6" wide).

Keep in mind, the width is at the widest point, not the tread.

I think he typo'd 270 doesn't exist in the realm of passenger and light truck tires. He meant a 275/70R18. But you answered his question correctly.

OP the other tires are the same width just slightly over 33" tall, so a little bigger than your DuraTracs but nothin you can't fit on your stock setup.

275/70-18's will fit your truck. I ran them on my 11 and my 07 for a few hundred thousand miles without any issues. Everyone enjoys seeing pictures, so post some after you've put your new tires on.

yes they will fit just fine. lots of guys run 35x12.50's on stock 20x8.5 wheels and those are about 315 wide. stock Raptor tires are also 315's on an x8.5 wheel.
