Default Which Tires

Hi. This is my first post so be kind!! I just bought my first Ford truck. I bought a 2013 F150 Crew Cab Platinum 4x4 in white. So far I love the truck. I am thinking about tires and I have come down to these two tires. Right now size does not matter. I just want to know what others think (ONLY) about these two tires. The first tire is the Toyo Open Country MT and the second tire is the Nitto Trail Grappler. Thanks in andvance for your thoughts.

P.S. Don't read anything into my request. What lift, wheels, kind of driving, etc does not matter at this point. I just want to know what you like or don't like about these two tires. Thanks again.

I have never personally ran a set of the toyo mt, but I have had the trail grapplers and I loved them. Toyo and nitto are sister companies, in other words toyo makes nitto. They are both great tires that are known for high mileage and good highway manners. All in all it comes down to whichever you can get for a better price, which usually seems to be the trail grappler. Can't go wrong with either

I agree with Arod, From what i read the toyos are a little noiser than the nittos, thats why i personally went with the nittos, their both made by the same company so i dont think you can really go wrong with either

That's the same 2 tires I narrowed it down to. Ultimately went with the Toyos, at the recommendation of a buddy that manages a local tire shop. Plus he could get the Toyos in a lot faster than the Nittos in the size I wanted. Only had them about a month but no complaints. Little noisy on the highway, but that's fine with me. As far as an off-road tire I don't think you could go wrong with either one. I believe Toyo and Nitto are sister companies. Also, there are a lot of good tire threads in the aftermarket section. Good luck.

I ran Toyo MT's on my '04 Lariat for 23K miles untill I sold the truck. Never had a problem with these tires on or off road. Slight hum on the highway at 60 to 70 mph but not bad. They also handled the rain pretty good which surprised me for a mud terrain design...lot's of tread left at 23K miles so I figured they should go 50 to 60K miles easily. Only bad thing's are the price and the weight of the tires which can cause a 2 to 3 mpg drop in fuel mileage depending on the tires size. I would buy them again if I needed a good MT tire that can be driven just about anywhere.
