For those who are wondering. I did an experiment this weekend. I scored myself a second set of Raptor wheels a couple weeks ago. The second set is complete with TPMS, center caps and old tires. The two rears are done, completely. The fronts have a little less than 50% tread I would say. My truck's suspension is completely stock. No lift or level. It is a 2013 XLT.
While I was plastidipping my stock wheels that I am running 285/65/18 BFG TA KO2's on, I threw the Raptor wheels and tires on. I have no rubbing at all. And I have been driving this setup for a couple days through my normal routine.
Now I will admit that these are worn tires and it is close, but I plan when the time comes to actual throw new tires on the wheels that a 1.5" level max will be sufficient to clear everything. I will also say that I have not taken the truck off-road or flexed it all, but normal driving I get no rubbing and I can turn lock to lock with no problems.
I will also need to add a minimal flare. I will probably go with the Bushwhacker OEM style and paint them to match the truck. I would go OEM, but I prefer not to drill into the truck.
I am loving the ride of the truck with the Load D tires with a larger sidewall. So much nicer than my current Load E tires. Worst mistake I ever made was putting the E-rated tires on my truck. Love the tire, hate the ride.
With all of that, here are some photes for you all.
Whole truck

Driver side clearance
Passenger side clearance

I don't disagree man, but you could always trim the valance and pull back the liner and gain more clearance. But I don't plan to make the permanent switch to these wheels until I throw some Icons on and reais the front about 1.5".

Perry: truck looks awesome! Is that someone's house in the background? The place looks huge!
Larry: I have a set of Raptor takeoffs ready to go in, I'm going to do the Bilstein level set at 1.75", thanks for confirming it should fit. Also, mind me asking how much you paid for your wheels with low tires?

My Setup
I ran a 305 / 55 / 20 with 20x10 wheels and a -12 offset on a 2" Level with some trimming. Once you get it trimmed up you do not rub. =) Hopefully this helps.
