Default Tire and wheel advice

I need new tire...here's what I'm thinking. I don't want to get a tire that half way meets my needs on road and off road. So, I'm gonna get two sets, one for the hwy since I average about 20-25k miles per year. And another dedicated off-road set, obviously something much more aggressive that would probably kill the hwy mileage. Obviously I'm going to need another set of rims so I can swap out tire at will. So, I want to find the lightest rims I can and mount my street tires on and use the stock FX4 rims for the off-road tires. I'm going to stick with stock size tires and rims for both sets.

First question...How much does the stock 18" FX4 rim weigh? I have been searching for the past two days. I have used tirerack.com to look at some rims and the lightest set I can find, and probably live with, in the stock size is 25.5lbs. But I need to know the weight of the stock rim so I have a point of reference.

Second...Any suggestions on a good street tire and rims. I'm not going to buy the off-road tires until after I move this summer, so I have plenty of time to research that.

This is what I'm thinking about for the street rim/tires.

Thanks in advance.

There are about 3000 tire and wheel threads on this forum.

Just let your fingers do the walking. Michelins are my vote for street tires. Can't be beat. Enjoy your new truck.

I have read that the stockers weigh 46 pounds give or take.

The stock 18" xlt chrome pkg rims weigh about 40, those should weigh about the same. Michelin MS2s are great for the street. Toyo MTs are what I'd recommend for off-road.
