Default Tire pressue sensors

Hello, just joined the forum. I have a 2011 F150 Lariat with the 3.5lt Ecoboost. Was wondering what would happen if I removed the tire pressure sensors completely?

you would get a warning on your dash plus the light would be flashing unless you disable the system entirely with Forescan

The 12th gen system is very different.

You can turn off the TPMS warning light on the dash through Forscan, I'm trying to locate the values myself to do this.

Just curious, why would anyone want to disable the tire pressure sensors? I have found it to be very helpful to know that a tire was getting low.

I do my own maintenance on my vehicles,I check the tire pressures regularly. I think it's one of the most annoying features auto manufactures have come up with.
I have one that has a dead battery(I'm assuming) that throws an alarm every time I start up.It's not time for new tires,so I either put up with it try to reset.

They were Federally mandated in 2007. Manufacturers have no choice.

There are cheap ones on Amazon and walmart installs for a few bucks. If you want to be bold its possible to break the bead too and install. Sometimes a tire can start to lose air on the highway, better to know sooner than later.I see where it can be annoying but they are pretty reliable and its like a once in a decade thing.

I bought four Motorcraft TPMS sensors on eBay for a great deal. Too bad they were counterfeit and I get an occasional tire pressure sensor fault

Next time I get tires, I’ll get new factory ones installed.

On another note, our daughter just had four new sensors installed on her 2010 Tahoe. The sensors were $125 each plus install. Ouch.

Check this out:

On the left is my Banks gauge…see the 4 bottom numbers (TPMS to one decimal).
On the right is the dash TPMS.
