I had my whole windshield tinted at 50% you could see through it easily at night and most people didnt even notice i had it done. I had to show them the tint line across the top. My girlfriend LOVED it. It was really easy on the eyes driving in the birght sun. Anything darker than 35% would be really hard to see out of at night IMO thats why i went with 50% the only purpose was keeping heat out.
